Twisted Sister fue un grupo estadounidense de heavy metal, formado en la ciudad de Nueva York en 1973.

El grupo fusiona las tácticas impactantes de Alice Cooper, el humor rebelde de la nueva ola del metal británico (NWOBHM) y el extravagante maquillaje de Kiss. El grupo tiene una imagen de shock rock, aderezada con un punto deliberadamente vulgar; su sonido se podría comparar en ocasiones con las clásicas bandas de heavy metal como Judas Priest y Motörhead, mientras que otras muchas se puede acercar a bandas de hard rock como Alice Cooper, ya que cuenta con un fuerte componente de rock and roll, de manera similar a bandas como Judas Priest y Iron Maiden.
